Who we are

I started out as an Insurance agent selling life insurance to seniors across Colorado, Wyoming, and Nebraska.    I did this for about 15 years and in that time I met with hundreds seniors with serious and often times dangerous maintenance issues in their homes.  

I’ve always had a natural ability to fix nearly anything that could break. Additionally, I hated seeing people in situations like this especially since many were unable to fix them.  At one point very early in my career, I was meeting a client interested in a life insurance policy in the small town of Hasty, Colorado. As I stepped into her home, I fell through the floor of her mobile home.    She apologized to me as she knew the floor was rotting out but didn’t know anyone who could fix it.   After finishing up her life insurance policy, I returned with tools and supplies and made the repair which lasted for the rest of her life.  

Near the end of my insurance career, I found myself carrying an assortment of tools helping my insurance clients make minor urgent repairs to their homes.   I decided It was time to turn this into a career. 

As Oliver & Company Handyman continues to grow, we operate under the philosophy of “Done right the first time”.  It’s a catchy tagline but truly it is how we operate everyday.
